Wiesław Wałkuski, a famous poster designer, graphic artist and a painter, was born in 1956 in Białystok. He is a Graduate of Painting and Graphic Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (he graduated in 1981, obtaining his diploma in the studios of T. Pągowska and M. Urbaniec). Since 80's he's been creating projects, illustrations and posters for publishing houses, theater and film. Since the late 1990s, they have been recognized as independent artists.
