Wiktor Bezrukow
Wiktor Bezrukow - born in 1972, lives in Białystok. Since 1986 he attended the Fine Arts High School in Supraśl, specializing in artistic weaving. In 1992 he began higher education at the stage design department of the Higher School of Fine Arts "Schola Posnaniensis" in Poznań. After returning to Białystok, he began his professional career in the advertising industry as a computer graphic artist and designer of large-format advertisements. He returned to easel painting in 2005. His works bear the marks of impressionism, as well as figurative painting. In Bezrukow's works we can easily find references to the classics of the period of impressionism, post-impressionism, to the works of M. Chagall and A. Modigliani, we can also see the influence of Byzantine culture. Bezrukov often abandons the "Renaissance" perspective that dominates Western European painting in favor of simplified single-plane compositions, using a reverse perspective that is characteristic of the art of icon painting. Standing on the border between Western and Eastern European cultures, Bezrukov creates paintings full of optimism, charm, and decorativeness, colorful, cheerful, and joyful. The artist's paintings can be found in numerous collections around the world.
