Zofia Błażko
Zofia Błażko is an artist born in 1986 in Gdynia. Currently, the painter lives and works in Warsaw. In 2010, she defended her master's degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk in Painting in the studio of prof. Maciej Świeszewski. She also completed first-cycle studies in the field of Photography under the supervision of prof. Witold Węgrzyn. In 2012, she graduated from postgraduate studies in Art Therapy at the Medical University of Gdańsk.
Painter, fascinated with the life and work of Parisian painters. After graduation, she decided to go to France. In Paris was at the artistic residency Jour et Nuit Culture, a then she created in the prestigious Chez Robert, Électron studio Libre on 59 rue de Rivoli.
The Parisian period is also a period of study in the studio of professor Jacqu Yankiel Kikoine, lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris, son of Michel Kikoïne, one of the founders of the École de Paris.
She was the first to be appreciated for her diligence and artistic skill A Pole in history, she was given the opportunity to design and implement decoration of the six-story facade of the building, which is the cradle artistic bohemia of contemporary Paris at 59 rue de Rivoli.
In 2015, the artist, looking for new inspirations, left for an artistic residence to the capital of Senegal - Dakar. Half-year stay resulted in numerous portraits of the inhabitants of Africa which they enjoyed recognition of the local community. Exhibition ending the stay the artist at the residence was honored by the Senegalese Minister of Culture himself - Mbagnick Ndiaye."
In the second half of 2015, Zofia Błażko was an artist-in-residence at the Shangyuan Art Museum in Beijing, and in 2018 in St. Petersburg Art Residency in the Russian Federation.
