"In the Clouds" is an extremely poetic painting that transports the viewer into a magical world full of colour and lightness. At the centre of the painting is a figure wearing a straw hat, who gently blows into hands formed in the shape of a trumpet. It is a gesture that evokes childhood games and dreams of flying.Around this figure swirl colourful birds - bee-eaters, known for their intense colours. Their presence adds lightness but also dynamism to the composition, giving the impression that the figure and the birds are carried away by the wind. The sitter is dressed in blue clothing with patterns of clouds, making the figure appear as if immaterial. The whole creates the atmosphere of a dream in which the boundaries between reality and fantasy are blurred.
