"Hot and Cold" - a Story in an Icy Landscape
This painting is my interpretation of the contrasts that surround us in everyday life - cold and warmth, severity and delicacy, distance and closeness. Emperor penguins, although they inhabit one of the most inhospitable regions on Earth, remind us that even in difficult conditions, the warmth of family bonds is a source of strength and hope.
When creating this oil painting, I wanted to capture a moment that simultaneously emanates peace and intimacy. The colors - cool blues and whites of the background, broken by warm shades of yellow and orange on the necks of the penguins - symbolize harmony between opposites. In the structure of the paint, I tried to reflect the severity of the icy land, and the delicate brushstrokes emphasize the softness of the young penguins' feathers.
For me, "Hot and Cold" is not only a story about nature, but also about ourselves – about how we can find love, closeness and balance in any conditions.
