''CHARON'' cykl ''Nie tak odległe..'', 2025

The painting depicts a surreal scene in which an old ship sails down a river of black waters, cutting through mysterious fields running towards the great moon.  A huge planet, as if taken straight out of science fiction, towers over everything, attracting both the ship and the Viewer to itself. The ship glides slightly as if hovering just above the surface of the water, almost levitating. The atmosphere of this work is mysterious and a little disturbing. The subject matter refers to Greek mythology, in which souls after death travel under the care of a ferryman called CHARON, the River STYX to the gates of HADES.

The artist's style seems to combine elements of steampunk with abstraction, which gives the painting a unique character. The painting technique, probably a mixture of oil and acrylic paints, produces a sharp, almost three-dimensional texture. Walking your eyes over the surface, you can almost feel the cold of the ice and the deep silence of the space.
