The painting was inspired by the boats motif, a frequent theme of Impressionist painters. In my version of this theme, color and painterly gesture painting of boats on the river are the main theme: the blue of the sky and water contrasts with the yellows and blacks of the boats and coastal landscape. I painted this joyful motif associated with summer in an expressive and structural way. My painting wants to convey to you the energy of summer and the light of the summer sun.
