Andrzej Zygmuntowicz

Andrzej Zygmuntowicz was born in 1951 in Poznań. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Precision Mechanics of the Warsaw University of Technology (1974), associated with the Masovian photographic community. In 1973 he became a member of the Warsaw Photographic Society, in which from 1979 to 1985 and from 1987 to 1989 he was the President of the Management Board. His photographs have been repeatedly appreciated with prizes and distinctions. In 1988, he was accepted as a member of the Warsaw District of the Association of Polish Art Photographers, in which he served as the president of the Main Board of ZPAF (1991-1994 and serves as the chairman of the ZPAF General Council. In 1992 he co-founded the Polish Press Photography Competition Foundation, where he took the position of the President of the Board , which he held until 2003. Since 2005 he has been a lecturer at the University of Warsaw at the Faculty of Journalism, since 1998 a lecturer at Collegium Civitas and since 1989 a lecturer at the Photography College of the Association of Polish Art Photographers.
