Błażej Kowalczyk
Błażej Kowalczyk was born on 22.09.1994 in Częstochowa. He is an artist from Częstochowa, where he graduated from the State Art High School in 2013. During his studies, he was a laureate of many competitions and awards for artistic achievements in the field of painting and jewelry. He also completed the first degree of music school on the accordion and technical studies, obtaining the title of engineer. After a few years' break from creative activities devoted to science, he decided to return to his passion, painting. It often happens that he applies his technical skills in painting, which gives interesting results. The subject of his paintings often focuses on nudes, portraits as well as abstractions painted on canvases using a palette knife and brushes. As he himself emphasizes, his painting was greatly influenced by expressionist painters Edvard Munch, Vincent Van Gogh and contemporary artists, Jimmy Law, Josef Kote, and Polish artist Anna Bocek. One of the main intentions in his painting is the selection of spots of color in order to evoke positive feelings in the viewer. In his works he does not pay much attention to detail, as he himself says "The whole painting is to create a form in which the viewer himself, looking at my painting, will find details. Often in his painting there appear colors and forms that seemingly do not fit together, but together they create full harmony in the paintings.
