Jerzy Treit
Jerzy Treit in 1991 started studying art history at the Catholic University in Lublin. He founded GALLERY 1 there, in which artists such as Tadeusz Kulisiewicz, Stanisław Rodziński, Rafał Olbiński and friend of Picasso - Nejad Devrim. In 1992 he went to Paris for an artistic scholarship, funded by the American Foundation Eva Aeppli. He founded the Gallery in the Province, near Myślenice, where artists such as the professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, Jacek Sroka and the famous composer Jan Kanty Pawluśkiewicz exhibited.
He designs art objects and draws his own paper. He publishes his texts, among others on the pages of Your Messages. His works are in private collections all over the world: in France, Germany, Turkey, Belgium, Switzerland, the USA and Poland. Since 2012, he has been a member of the interdisciplinary artistic group Young Arts, operating at the Association of Polish Artists and Designers of the Warsaw District. Since 2013, he has been under the Artistic / Media Patronage - Artistic Guarantee of Art Imperium.
In March 2013, under the patronage of Art Imperium and in cooperation with the publishing house poecipolscy.pl, he published his first book "The smell of cinnamon in orange paint" - original reflections illustrated with his own paintings and drawings, which premiered during the opening of the painting exhibition.
He was the Director of the Municipal Cultural Center in Pcim (since 2003). Co-organizer of the "Open Door" International Art Workshops for youth, artists and people with disabilities. Creator of the "Na Prowincji" gallery. The artist lives and works in France and since 2017 in Warsaw.
