Krzysztof Pawłowski
Krzysztof Pawłowski has been sculpting since the 1970s. In 1978, the artist left for Vienna for a few months. A year later he emigrated to Seattle, where thanks to his work he gained popularity and critical acclaim. In 2006, a sense of accomplishment in the United States and constant nostalgia for his homeland made Pawłowski return to Poland.
The artist has been sculpting in various types of stone for years, focusing primarily on maintaining the purity of form. Krzysztof Pawłowski's sculptures are a representation of harmony and balance. Pawłowski successfully combines a minimalist style with the theme of the female nude. On the other hand, the artist's work is dominated by depictions of polar bears. The sculptor explores the silhouettes, movements and characteristic features of animals, focusing on their essence, expressing strength and grace at the same time. The artist uses simple and elegant geometry to suggestively present the essence of these independent and powerful animals.
