DISPLAYS:
Artist Leszek Harasimowicz is a painter known for exploring various directions with his art. Concerning his multi-approach to painting, Harasimowicz noted, "During the last 10 years my painting has evolved into four distinct themes, which can be placed somewhere between tradition and modernity.". What I love about Leszek's approach to painting is the fact that I can see visual traditions staring back at me when I view his work. I see Amedeo Modigliani and Egon Schiele. I can't say if these specific artists have a direct influence on Harasimowicz -- but I will say that Leszek appears to be an artist who knows art history... and it is clear that he embraces the continuation of these traditions. In that sense, he provides a needed visual conversation about the role of art today.
