Łukasz Czernicki

Łukasz Czernicki was born in 1980 in Świdnik. He is a graduate of the Art Department of the Institute of Fine Arts of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. In 2007 he received a diploma in Graphic Design in the studio of prof. Grzegorz Mazurek. He works in painting, drawing, photography and graphic design.

In his works he reaches for popular performances from art and literature. His work is characterized by a theatrical mood, simplification of forms and composition of the poster. He plays with the symbolism of signs, gestures and subjects. In acrylic painting, he often uses the impasto technique enriched with other media, which enhances its unique character. He often returns to traditional painting, in which he mainly deals with portraiture and aviation issues.
