Magda Połacik
Magdalena Połacik comes from Częstochowa, where she graduated from the State Secondary School of Fine Arts. J. Malczewski with a specialization in artistic ceramics. She continued her education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. Władysław Strzemiński, where in 2005 she obtained a diploma at the Laboratory of Woodcut Technique of prof. Andrzej Bartczak and the Drawing Studio of prof. Zdzisław Olejniczak. Currently, she lives and works in Łódź, he has already worked on set design.
The hero of her painting is the figure of a woman. It is also the main reason for the creation of subsequent paintings. It is an absolutely made-up character, without any original or even inspiration. She uses it as a sign and symbol, while maintaining its separateness and independence. This sign, being a being that plays the main role in every image created, at the same time carries with it certain emotions, states or content that it just wants to place on the plane of the canvas. The effects of this are different as are the reasons responsible for the success of these activities. However, she always enjoys the simple pleasure of painting as a process, which also constitutes the artistic credo - "I paint because I like".
Her style is inimitable. Once you see this line, it is impossible to confuse it. Strong brush strokes set on the canvas with character, there is something vibrating about them, as in the case of our beloved Lautrec, perhaps that is why we have a great weakness for these paintings.
