Sergiusz Sachno

He was born in 1945 in Harbin. In 1968 he graduated from the University of Warsaw. In 1970 he graduated from Charles University in Prague. Since 1972 he has been involved in studio, theater and film photography, as well as nude, portrait and fashion photography. He is the author and co-author of several dozen exhibitions, incl. in Sydney, Tokyo, Montreal, Toronto, Prague, Amsterdam, Berlin. His photos are published, among others in the following magazines: "Film", "Kino", "Scena", "Pani", "Beauty", "Twój Styl". He is the author of posters, album covers, books and theater programs. Lecturer at the Higher School of Art and Design in Łódź and at the Photography Studio at ZPAF. He is a juror in photo competitions and a curator of exhibitions. Since 1979 he has been a member of the Warsaw District of the Association of Polish Art Photographers. In 1979 he was awarded the Medal of the City of Paris by Jacques Chirac. He defended his PhD in photography at the State Higher School of Film, Television and Theater in Łódź.
