Urszula Świerczyńska

A graduate of the State General School of Fine Arts in Kielce with a specialization in artistic fabric. Her first painting lessons were given by Leszek Niciński, and then by Kazimierz Witold Kielian. Before entering the university, she decided to take private lessons with Mirosław Benedyktowicz, a painter from Kielce. In 2010-12, a student at the Institute of Fine Arts in Kielce, majoring in design. She graduated from the first degree studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, majoring in graphics with a specialization in graphic design, in 2014. For her artistic and scientific achievements, she received the Scholarship of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage in 2004, the Scholarship of the Prime Minister in 2008, the Award of the School Director in 2010, and in 2011 she received the Rector’s scholarship for the best students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. The painting and book illustration classes conducted by prof. call Gabriel Kołat, drawing lessons with prof. call Andrzej Grenda, analysis of a work of art and aesthetics (from the first year of second-cycle studies) with Dr. Łukasz Zaorski-Sikora. 

During her studies, she began creating illustrations for the magazine "W4oczy" in the "Fairy Tales for Adults" and "Art Therapy" sections. For a short time, she worked as a graphic designer in an advertising agency and privately doing artistic makeup for photoshoots and stage performances. Since 2018, she has been involved in her greatest passion - oil painting belonging to the genres of magical realism and symbolism. The artist presents metaphorical images of authentic events, thoughts, and emotions. Her work is characterized by a poetic nature, often exploring spiritual and philosophical themes. Her artworks can be found in private collections both in the country and abroad.
