Birds, 2011

The painting entitled 'Birds' is a dynamic composition in which the boundaries between fauna and flora become almost indistinguishable. The brushstrokes capture the moment when the birds hover over the grasses and the whole scene seems to ripple with the rhythm of the wind. The dominant dark greens, browns and touches of deep red create an intense, almost gloomy atmosphere. The sky is almost invisible, as if the whole scene is enclosed in a dense, earthy space where everything pulsates with the energy of life. The birds, which under normal circumstances would be easily recognisable, here become part of the surrounding vegetation 

This image, although full of movement, also has a certain mystery about it. It dances before our eyes, but does not allow itself to be read clearly - where does the bird end and the grass begin? It is a question that stays with the viewer for a long time, making 'Birds' more than just a scene from nature. It is a visual story about the unity of life and nature, about how everything can come together to form a harmonious, yet difficult to separate whole.
