Piercing, 2009

The painting is called "Piercing", it is a puncture on the body for the sake of decoration with various objects. But the body of the catfish is not punctured of its own free will, not for the sake of decoration. The cracks in the body of the catfish, as it were, speak of scars, about the experience received during a long life. This is a sad irony, each hook is like a memory of falling in love, of a love affair, of past impressions. And as a result, the heart is pierced not by an arrow, but by a hook, as it happens in the underwater world of love.
