b. 1990 Biography: Filip is a graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. His diploma (2014), undertaken at the studios of prof. Henryk Cześnik, prof. Witosław Czerwonka and assoc. prof. Robert Florczak, was awarded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (MKiDN) during the exhibition The Best Diplomas of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poland. Currently he is a student at Gdynia Film School and a doctoral student at the Interdepartmental Doctoral Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. He is the author of a continuously developing project FIGNACY&co., co-author of such projects as GIFT SHOP and „there was a roof, there was a home” („był dach, był dom”). He has participated in nearly 100 exhibitions and received more than 30 prizes and scholarships. Although his works originate in painting, they are multidisciplinary. He creates videos, installations, objects, performances, as well as happenings in public spaces. He is also involved with film, scenography, photography and artistic research projects. His recent works attempt to look at the human condition functioning within a consumerist reality. He treads the thin line between artwork and product. ?
