Emotions 2, 2009

"Emotions 2" is the second of three works that make up an extensive series of paintings entitled "Expression of a gesture". This series is devoted to topics related to the possibility of revealing the (meta) physical side of energy, using symbolic geometry, combined with the expression of gesture in painting. An attempt has been made here to come closer to the sensual and at the same time mental nature of the soul. In art, I am interested in the sensuality of matter and variable optical effects. Light is an important element of my work, which gives rise to all forms. From it is born the color that enlivens the shape, the "soul" that defines the "body." The issue of metaphysics in painting that I am discussing comes from the conviction that artistic activity is a continuous process of mutual confrontation between man and the world. Therefore, I understand art as a phenomenon or another form of externalization. the same mental forces that co-create culture and the evolving worldview.
