It is a unique piece of work due to the technique of execution. It was painted on a specially prepared silk substrate, covered with an original binder, which allowed to achieve the effect of silk paper stretched on a loom, covered with a delicate transparent golden-milky glow. This is clearly visible in places left without paint. The author explored the secrets of preparing silk paper in China. The painting was created under the influence of a fascination with the phenomenon of light, treated here by the author as a reflection of infinity: "no one will reach its perfection or avoid its embrace, because it permeates all matter" (the author of the painting writes in one of his works). This painting is one of the five elements that make up the entire series of paintings entitled "Gate of Light" in the form of a Greek cross. The Greek cross, as a geometric form inscribed in a square, influenced the simplicity of the expression of the work and shaping the content of a transcendent, spiritual nature, which allowed to create a pattern of a mysterious journey to infinity. The method of painting is based on the author's passion for monochrome color field painting.
