Square Formats at the 91st New Art Auction

Let’s start by focusing on the vibrant and uniquely storied works painted on square canvases. Wojtek Brewka presents a plush, patchwork, somewhat menacing panda; Robert Jadczak invites us to an energetic country-style dance; Andrejus Kovelinas takes us on an otherworldly ride on a frog; and Aurelia Sikiewicz-Wojtaszek showcases an incredibly detailed, fantastical-themed painting.

Abstract Journeys in Modern Painting and Sculpture

This auction will feature numerous abstract works, with artists showcasing their distinctive yet extraordinary creations. Joanna Roszkowska will present one of her painting-sculpture duos, while Krzysztof Kopeć will offer a canvas with a unique texture in pastel colors. Bartłomiej Kulpa will display a large-scale monochromatic triptych, and Gossa Zielaskowska will present an energetic diptych painted in the action painting style. Additionally, abstract works leaning towards op-art will be seen on the canvases of Filip Dawidowski, Anna Szprynger, and Izabela Kozłowska.

Draped Thoughts – Mastery in Painting

Artists often love to showcase their skill by capturing the intricate details of draped fabric. These striking motifs add elegance and allure to their works, as seen in several pieces featured in the 91st Auction New Art. Anna Chorzępa-Kaszub presents a dark tangle of fabric, while Katarzyna Słowiańska-Kucz offers figures adorned with intricate turbans. Agata Mikulska-Sienkiewicz depicts a ballerina enveloped in layers of tulle, Daria Zbień portrays a 19th-century elegant lady, and Paweł Bienkiewicz approaches drapery with an abstract interpretation.
